Do you love running and encouraging others to achieve something they never thought they could?
We're looking for a volunteer running trainer (or experienced runner) to lead our Runooshkas β a fun, supportive 12-week women's training group preparing for the R.U.T.H. Run in Upwey on the 20th September.
This isn't about creating elite athletes. It's about building confidence, community, and helping people discover what they're capable of.
You'll:
- π Lead up to two weekly group training session (approximately 1 hour)
- π Help participants safely build their fitness over 12 weeks
- π Encourage runners of all abilities
- π Create a welcoming, inclusive environment where everyone feels supported
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience with running, coaching or leading group fitness
- Loves motivating people
- Isn't deterred by a bit of wet or cold weather
- Is comfortable with early morning or early evening runs with head torches
- Eats trail/hill runs for breakfast
- Believes exercise should be enjoyable and accessible
The Runooshkas are all about cheering each other on, celebrating progress, and turning up together.
Our R.U.T.H. Run is more than a fun run, it's a community celebration that brings people together while raising funds to reduce the factors that create isolation and, in turn, impact mental health. RUTH stands for Running Up That Hill and that's exactly what we are training to do. And yes, it is Kate Bush themed.
If this sounds like you (or someone you know), we'd love to hear from you.
