The role
The Volunteer Engagement Program Team at Oxfam Australia oversee the engagement of all volunteers, interns and secondees, nationally. We are a small team, working part-time. The team are looking to engage a motivated volunteer to assist with projects and initiatives outlined in the Oxfam Australia National Volunteering Strategy.
Launched in 2023, the strategy outlines our aspirations for volunteering at Oxfam Australia for the short-to-medium term. As part of the strategy, we have proposed 30 projects and initiatives for delivery to realise our strategy vision. We would like to engage a volunteer to assist the team with ad hoc project support, contributing to initiatives relating to the strategy as well as other relevant projects that fall within the purview of Volunteer Engagement space.
Key tasks
- Support the team by contributing to the development of communications, visual resources, assistance with engaging with volunteers and staff, and the completion of desktop research as it relates to the strategy and other projects
- Support the team with socialisation and engagement of the strategy within the organisation
- Assist the team with completing data analysis for project and initiatives
- Other similar tasks as required
Experience/skills/qualifications required
- An interest (or experience in) project management would be advantageous (but not essential)
- An interest (or experience in) volunteer engagement would be advantageous (but not essential)
- Experience using MS applications.
