At GCG Headquarters, the General Manager of Finance will provide strategic financial leadership, manage the group-wide budget, and oversee statutory compliance to deeply empower those who do good to do better.

In this role, you will:

Lead the Finance Team: Establish, manage, and mentor a small, dedicated team of direct reports.

Drive Financial Strategy: Develop group-wide budgets, manage finances across HQ and branches, and support fundraising initiatives.

Oversee Compliance: Maintain robust records and manage reporting obligations for regulatory bodies including ASIC, ACNC, and the ATO.

Build Financial Structures: Set up checking procedures, establish branch internal reporting, and provide guidelines for branch managers.

To be a successful candidate, you will:

  • Be passionate about social impact.

  • Hold a current Australian CA or CPA qualification with 4+ years of professional finance department experience and a track record of leading teams.

  • Bring an entrepreneurial mindset to proactively establish financial frameworks, optimize resources, and drive long-term strategy in an evolving non-profit landscape.

  • Be able to contribute a minimum of 5 hours per week, utilising strong communication skills to engage diverse internal and external stakeholders.

  • (Preferred) Possess familiarity with Xero and reporting requirements for registered charities.
