WesleyCare Wynnum Services are a Specialist Disability Accommodation Community that makes a difference to the lives of adults with complex and high support needs. We're seeking enthusiastic individuals to share live music and bring energy, joy and enjoyment to our residents' everyday routines!

In this role, you'll build positive rapport and strong relationships with residents, the team, and other volunteers, helping create a warm and inclusive environment. The Musical Moments Volunteer shares their gift of music to uplift and inspire, bringing joy and connection to residents through live performances on their chosen instrument.

Volunteers enhance the lives of our residents by:

• Sharing live music with residents through their chosen instrument.
• Engaging residents with well-loved tunes that inspire joy and connection.
• Including vocals within your repertoire, where suitable, to enrich the overall experience for residents.
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment that supports participants of all abilities.
• Encouraging participation, creativity, independence and social interaction.
• Communicating resident feedback back to staff to assist in improving both the activity and resident enjoyment.

Volunteering hours available for this role are available Monday to Friday, depending on your availability.

All our volunteers follow a COVID-19 safe work plan and provide proof they have received a minimum of one primary COVID-19 vaccination before they are registered in their role.

Volunteers will also be required to have a current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance prior to commencement. This can be applied for through Wesley Mission Queensland at no cost to you.
