Are you passionate about helping others and making a real difference in your community?

We're looking for Hub Open Door (HOD) Welcome Volunteers to support people from migrant and refugee backgrounds, as well as the wider community, by providing practical assistance, sharing service information and knowledge, and guiding clients to internal services or trusted mainstream partners.

Tasks may include:

· Acting as a concierge –providing support in a busy reception area; meeting and greeting clients and assisting with enquiries; and directing clients within the building /area

· Assisting visitors with enquiries to navigate and address their specific issues, or directing clients to relevant AMES employees and/or trusted external partners for further information and services, if required

· Assisting clients in reading and/or preparing documentation and/or forms

· Supporting clients to learn about computers, digital tools, Google maps, scams etc

· Providing basic information, handing out brochures, looking up information on a digital device

· Assisting clients to participate and/or attend HOD and community events and activities

· Maintaining the HOD noticeboard with up-to-date community information

· Keep records and feedback of HOD visitors, enquiries and provided assistance

· Supporting and facilitating HOD events and activities and provide post events debrief to Senior Manager

· Assisting with HOD room set-up, digital devise setup, handing out and collecting paperwork
