Do you have a free afternoon and enjoy spending time with others? Join us as an Afternoon Social Visitor Volunteer and help bring companionship, conversation and connection to older people living in residential aged care. As a volunteer, you'll spend one-on-one time with residents, sharing stories, enjoying a cup of tea, listening to music, taking a stroll through the garden, working on a hobby together or simply providing the comfort of friendly company. Your presence can help reduce social isolation and brighten someone's day. Volunteer opportunities are available on weekdays between 1:30pm and 5:00pm, with flexible weekly or fortnightly commitments of one hour or more. No special skills are required—just a caring nature, good listening skills and a willingness to connect with others. Whether your interests include gardening, music, craft, pets, walking or simply having a chat, there's a resident who would love to share those moments with you. If you're looking for a rewarding way to give back to your community, we'd love to hear from you.
