The Opportunity

We are looking for a volunteer Grant Writer to help Tiny Dots identify funding opportunities and prepare strong grant applications. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys writing with purpose, researching opportunities, and helping a growing service access the resources it needs to deepen its impact.

In this role, you will:

  • research grant and funding opportunities relevant to Tiny Dots
  • draft grant applications, expressions of interest, and supporting submissions
  • gather information, data, and impact stories in collaboration with the Director/CEO and team
  • build a strong understanding of Tiny Dots’ programs, priorities, and day-to-day work to support accurate submissions
  • help maintain a grants calendar and track key deadlines
  • assist with reusable content and light-touch reporting support where appropriate

What We're Looking For:

  • excellent written communication and editing skills
  • strong research ability and attention to detail
  • confidence interpreting funding guidelines and tailoring submissions
  • ability to manage deadlines and work independently
  • interest in early intervention, disability, child development, or community services
  • collaborative approach and confidence gathering information from others
  • confidence using IT, Microsoft Office, and online systems

Desirable

  • previous grant writing, fundraising, tender, or proposal experience
  • understanding of the not-for-profit, disability, or health sector
  • experience with impact reporting or outcomes language
