About the Role BayCISS is seeking expressions of interest from community-minded people to join our Committee of Management.
As a member of the Committee of Management, you will share responsibility for the governance, strategic direction and financial oversight of the organisation, and for ensuring BayCISS meets its legal and regulatory obligations. You will help guide a respected local charity at a time of increasing need in our community.
This is a voluntary governance role but in a small charity like BayCISS, every Committee member has a genuine opportunity to make a meaningful contribution.
About You We are looking for people who bring sound judgement, a collaborative approach, practical insight and a genuine commitment to community service.
We are especially interested in people with skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:
Commercial acumen Financial literacy or accounting Fundraising, communications and donor relations Governance and strategic planning We would also be pleased to hear from people with other relevant experience who may complement and strengthen the existing Committee.
You will:
- Be passionate about supporting people in need in our community
- Be prepared to commit your time and energy
- Bring skills, ideas and experience that round out our Committee’s capabilities
- Invest the time to prepare for meetings and follow through on agreed actions
