We’re seeking three new Board Directors for Destination Central Victoria with expertise from one or more of the following skills-sets:
• Strategic financial management/Chair of Finance and Risk Committee • Destination marketing (focus on digital) • Visitor economy and experience development • Tourism research • Tourism industry development • First Nations Tourism Partnerships
Destination Central Victoria Ltd (DCV) is the peak tourism body for the region, representing the Shires of Hepburn, Macedon Ranges, Mount Alexander, and Central Goldfields. Formerly Daylesford Macedon Tourism, DCV expanded its Local Government Area coverage with the addition of Mount Alexander and Central Goldfields in 2025/26, transitioning to the Victorian Government’s Visitor Economy Partnership (VEP) model.
DCV is responsible for promoting and profiling the region as a vibrant and compelling visitor destination. Working closely with local councils, tourism operators, and industry partners, the organisation plays a key role in growing visitation and investment, supporting local businesses, and strengthening the regional economy.
Position Purpose
Contribute to the independent oversight, strategic guidance, and strong governance to ensure Destination Central Victoria Ltd strengthens the regional visitor economy. Except for the Chair of the Finance & Risk Committee, these director roles are voluntary. Reasonable travel expenses are covered for all directors.
What You’ll Bring
• Relevant expertise e.g. senior financial leadership, marketing experience • Strong understanding of Victoria’s visitor economy • Board, committee, or executive level governance experience • Ability to understand financial information and provide strategic advice • High integrity, independence and sound judgement
