Ludlow Tuart Forest Restoration Group

Advertised by Volunteer South West Incorporated

Each winter, usually late June to early July, we run a major planting event to restore the Tuart Forest and its understory. Volunteers can join for as little as one hour or stay for several, every contribution helps regenerate this precious ecosystem.

What You'll be Doing:

Volunteers assist with planting native seedlings, watering, and basic site preparation. This is a hands on, outdoors role ideal for people who enjoy nature, fresh air, and contributing to long-term environmental restoration. No experience is required just enthusiasm and a willingness to get your hands dirty. Tasks Include:

  • Planting native trees and understory species
  • Watering
  • Light soil preparation
  • Working alongside school kids, families, community groups, and other volunteers
  • Supporting the restoration of WA’s last remaining Tuart Forest

Why This Matters:

Your work directly contributes to restoring a critically important ecosystem, improving biodiversity, and ensuring the forest thrives for future generations.

The Best Bit:

Seeing an area transformed in just a few hours and knowing that the majority of those seedlings will stand for decades.

About You:

Enjoy being outdoors, able to do light physical activity, community minded, positive attitude.
