Looking for an Aged Care Volunteer that can speak Portuguese

We are looking for a kind-hearted, Portuguese-speaking volunteer to visit lovely Maria. She would love to spend time with someone who can converse in her first language.

Maria has a deep love for classical and Portuguese music, making this a wonderful opportunity to share stories and songs together! A weekly or fortnightly visit from you can truly brighten her day and make a lasting difference.

All volunteers are required to undergo a National Police Check and can expect ongoing support and training from their ACVVS Program Coordinator.

Commitment

Regular - less than 6 months

Training

Training is provided online in addition to ongoing support from your local Volunteer Program Coordinator

Time required

Volunteers are required to visit once per fortnight (although we prefer weekly where possible), duration of visit is up to you. We require a commitment of minimum 6 months to 12 months.

Requirements

Stat Dec if lived overseas past the age of 16 years for 12 months or more. National Police Check or WWVP. 18 years or older. Two referee checks conducted by Ageing with Grace.
