Event and Fundraising Coordinator
Zero Emissions 4075 is a community organisation in Brisbane’s western suburbs supporting practical pathways to reduce emissions through electrification, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and community engagement.
We are seeking a volunteer Event and Fundraising Coordinator to help deliver practical sustainability and electrification initiatives across Brisbane’s western suburbs.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organising events, connecting with people, building community support and helping community ideas become real outcomes.
What the role involves
- Coordinating community sustainability events and initiatives
- Planning and delivery of events, workshops, and information sessions
- Engaging with local businesses, sponsors, and supporters
- Helping track project tasks, timelines, and follow-up actions
- Planning fundraising activities and campaigns
- Coordinate membership drives
- Supporting communications and promotion of activities
- Assisting with volunteer coordination and community engagement
- Helping identify opportunities for future projects and collaborations Example activities might include:
- open days showcasing EVs, home electrification, etc
- preparing stalls at school fetes, community events, etc.
- coordinating project teams assist community members electrifying their lives
Skills that would help
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate tasks and work with different people
- Basic project or event coordination experience
- Comfortable using email, online documents, and video meetings
- Interest in sustainability, electrification, or community development
- Training as required is provided. Formal qualifications are not required, but previous volunteer fund raising experience is welcome.
