Human Resources Coordinator

About the Role
Develop and implement HR frameworks, policies, and programs to attract, retain, develop, and manage a highly engaged and committed volunteer workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full volunteer recruitment lifecycle: advertising, shortlisting, interviews, reference checks, and offers
- Own onboarding and offboarding — induction, access coordination with IT (48hr SLA), checklists, exit management
- Initiate and implement volunteer engagement programs to foster a high-performance culture
- Develop, review, and maintain all HR policies and procedures
- Partner with departments on workforce planning, performance, and organisational development
- Submit monthly Board update
What We're Looking For
- Experience managing end-to-end recruitment, including advertising, screening, reference checks, and offers
- Confident communicator who can manage multiple stakeholders across departments
- Organised and process-driven with the ability to maintain accurate records
- Understanding of HR best practices in a volunteer or not-for-profit context
Key Performance Indicators
- Timely monthly Board submissions
- All candidate communications sent from [email protected]
- Onboarding and offboarding checklists 100% complete for all role changes
- Volunteer roster current and accurate at all times
- Sound relationships maintained with all stakeholders and department managers
