Our local football club is looking for a friendly and reliable volunteer to help coordinate and cook our BBQ on home game days. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a welcoming community club, meet new people, and help create a great experience for our players, families and supporters.
Whether you're a seasoned BBQ master or just enjoy helping out, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook BBQ items including sausages, burgers and other menu items.
- Assist with setting up and packing down the BBQ area.
- Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic food preparation environment.
- Help serve food to players, members and visitors (if required).
- Work alongside other volunteers to ensure the canteen and BBQ run smoothly.
Time Commitment
- Approximately 3–5 hours on home game days during the football season on Saturdays.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a similar role is ideal. We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly and approachable.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Comfortable working as part of a team.
- Passionate about supporting local community sport.
- Food handling experience is an advantage but not essential.
