💻 Event & Community Researcher for Orangutans (100% Remote)

Are you a champion researcher who loves finding hidden gems, mapping out calendars, and organising logistics? You can help save critically endangered orangutans entirely from your computer.
The Orangutan Project is looking for analytical, organised people to find events to help with our fundraising initiatives. In this role, you will be the engine behind our ground teams. You will be finding the perfect community markets, festivals, and sustainability expos for us to target, so the rest of the team can step in and make them happen.
No long training webinars or rigid hours required. Just your laptop, your research skills, and a couple of hours a week whenever it suits your schedule!
What you’ll be doing: Event research: Researching upcoming community markets, eco-festivals, and regional events within target areas. Logistics mapping: Sourcing critical details like event dates, stall fees, application deadlines, and contact information. Pipeline support: Plunking this data cleanly into our shared event calendars so our event coordinators and leaders can step in, liaise with contacts, and book the space.
Why you'll love volunteering with us: Pure strategy, zero admin: You get to solve a massive logistical bottleneck for us straight from your couch. 100% flexibility: Work whenever your brain is sharpest, whether that’s late at night, early morning, or a few hours on the weekend. High impact: Your research directly determines where our fundraising teams go, making you a vital piece of our conservation growth.
Requirements: Reliable internet connection and your own computer/laptop. Strong online research skills and comfort working with shared spreadsheets/calendars.
