Do you enjoy reading, discussing books, or spinning a tall tale for a laugh?
We’re looking for a friendly volunteer to visit an elderly gentleman who enjoys a good book and would love some regular company. He appreciates meaningful conversation and would enjoy chatting with someone who shares his interest in reading and storytelling.
Whether you're discussing favourite authors, sharing book recommendations, or simply enjoying a good conversation, your visits could bring companionship, stimulation, and enjoyment to his day.
What you might do during your visits:
- 📖 Chat about books, authors, and favourite stories
- 📚 Share book recommendations and reading experiences
- 🗣️ Swap stories, memories, and a few tall tales
- 📰 Read newspapers, magazines, or articles together
- ☕ Enjoy a cuppa and a relaxed conversation
- 🤝 Build a genuine friendship and connection
A regular visit can make a significant difference, helping him feel connected, valued, and supported.

Your impact
