Lifestyle Markets Australia Inc. (LMA) is a registered charity and not-for-profit organisation that brings communities together through family focused fundraisers, markets and events across Victoria. All proceeds support Kinds of Happiness (KOH), a charity dedicated to empowering disadvantaged youth in regional and rural Australia through mentoring, farming programs, and skills development.

Role Purpose

As our volunteer IT and Web Development Support,you will provide essential technical support, help maintain and improve our website, assist with system upkeep, and help our team feel confident using digital tools.

Key responsibilities

  • Update and maintain website pages, content, and layout to keep information accurate and current
  • Build and update web forms, landing pages, and event pages as needed.
  • Support minor design changes and help ensure the website is easy to navigate for volunteers and the public.
  • Identify and resolve website issues, broken links, and display problems.
  • Assist with basic search engine optimisation and monitor site performance.
  • Provide support for software issues, connectivity, and
  • troubleshooting.
  • Help with logins, password resets, and secure account setups.
  • Create simple guides on common tasks.
  • Lead or assist with online training on tools.
  • Ensure devices and systems function smoothly at events.
  • Assist with account management, permissions, and troubleshooting.
  • Support future system migrations and upgrades.
  • Document new procedures for continuity.
  • Identify tech tools that may benefit the organisation.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Confident using digital tools and troubleshooting basic technical issues.
  • Experience with website platforms (e.g. WordPress, Squarespace, or similar), basic HTML/CSS, or web content management is highly regarded.
  • Able to explain technical concepts clearly to people with varying levels of technical confidence.
  • Strong follow-through and time management skills when working remotely.
  • Comfortable learning and working across multiple platforms and systems.

Desirable

  • Experience with Google Workspace administration, including account and permissions management.
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g. Canva) for website or landing page updates.
  • Understanding of basic SEO principles.
  • Previous experience volunteering or working within a not-for-profit or community organisation.
