Foodbank SA & NT is the largest food relief charity in South Australia and the Northern Territory. Our mission is to get the most good food, to the most people, in the most efficient way possible.
Volunteers are at the heart of our work, and we are looking for a friendly, organised and community-minded person to support our volunteer recruitment and administration activities.
This volunteer role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, keeping things organised, and helping create a welcoming experience for new and existing volunteers. Your support will help us build a strong, diverse volunteer team so we can continue providing food relief with care, dignity and respect.
What you’ll be doing
- Responding to volunteer enquiries in a warm, timely and professional way
- Assisting with volunteer applications, onboarding paperwork and compliance checks where required
- Helping schedule interviews, induction sessions and training activities
- Maintaining accurate volunteer records and updating databases and spreadsheets
- Supporting communication with volunteers, including reminders, updates and follow-ups
- Helping prepare simple recruitment materials and welcome information
- Distributing uniforms to volunteers.
We’re looking for someone who
- Is friendly, respectful and enjoys speaking with people from all walks of life
- Has good attention to detail and can keep information organised
- Communicates clearly by email, phone and in person
- Is comfortable using basic computer systems such as Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel or online forms
- Can handle personal information with care and confidentiality
- Shares our commitment to inclusion, dignity and practical support for people experiencing hardship.

Time commitment Flexible hours are available, with a suggested minimum commitment of 4 hours per week.
