Gardening Club helper at local primary school

We are looking for a friendly, hands-on volunteer to support our Gardening Club and help create an engaging outdoor space for children to learn, explore, and connect with nature.

About the Role This volunteer opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys gardening and would like to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with children. As part of the role, you will also assist with a small garden improvement project, including the construction of a decorative and functional garden bridge.

Key Responsibilities Design and build a small garden bridge. Assist children during Gardening Club activities including planting, maintaining and harvesting fresh produce, as well as guiding students to grow a variety of herbs, vegetables and fruits suitable for the climate and season. Share gardening knowledge and encourage a love of nature and sustainability. Help maintain garden beds, plants, and outdoor learning spaces. Promote a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for participants.

Volunteers will be helping to impart participating students with life skills, teamwork and a deeper appreciation for fresh food and the environment.
