Maintenance & Repairs Volunteer - Gold Coast
About the Role
As a Maintenance & Repairs Volunteer, you will provide practical repair and maintenance support for outreach vans, equipment, storage locations and operational assets.
This is a flexible volunteer role that fits around your existing commitments, requiring approximately 4-10 hours per month. It is ideal for someone who enjoys fixing things, solving problems and making a meaningful contribution to their community.
What You Will Be Doing
- Undertaking minor repairs to outreach vans, equipment and assets
- Troubleshooting maintenance issues and identifying practical solutions
- Occasionally assisting with time-sensitive repairs, with as much advance notice as possible
- Supporting the upkeep of storage locations and operational equipment
- Coordinating or recommending external repairs when specialist support is required
- Helping extend the life of organisational assets through preventative maintenance
We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Has practical hands-on maintenance, repair or trade skills
- Enjoys problem-solving and finding practical solutions
- Can work independently and manage their own time
- Is reliable and responsive when support is needed
- Wants to make a tangible difference in their local community
Desirable Experience
- General maintenance or handyman experience
- Trade qualifications or trade experience
- Facilities or property maintenance
- Mechanical aptitude or vehicle maintenance experience
- Experience coordinating suppliers or contractors
