Do you enjoy spending time with young children?
Whether you're retired, semi-retired, or simply looking for a meaningful way to give back, we'd love to welcome you as an Intergenerational Volunteer at our Banksia Grove Early Learning Centre.
Children thrive through positive relationships with caring adults. By sharing your time, life experience and enthusiasm, you'll help create a warm, engaging environment where children can learn, play and grow.
As an Early Learning Volunteer, you'll support our Educators by:
- Engaging with children through play, conversation and creative activities.
- Reading stories, singing songs or sharing a hobby or special interest.
- Assisting with simple play-based learning experiences.
- Helping prepare and tidy activity areas.
- Encouraging children's confidence, curiosity and sense of belonging.
No previous childcare experience is required—just a friendly, patient nature and a genuine enjoyment of being around young children.
We ask for a regular commitment of one day per week for a minimum of two hours, allowing children and educators to build meaningful relationships with you over time.
If successful, you will need to complete online training before commencement.
If you're looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young children while becoming part of a welcoming community, we'd love to hear from you. If you have any questions, please call our Volunteer Lead on 0436 936 444.
