Committee Members - Relay For Life Hawthorn

In 2027, Hawthorn Relay For Life is coming back as an overnight event, and we’re looking for a new group of people to help make it happen.

Right now, 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. Most of us already know someone who’s been through it. Relay For Life is a chance for our local community to show up and do something that actually makes a difference.

We’re putting together a volunteer committee and would love to hear from young people who want to get involved, meet new people and be part of something meaningful.

You don’t need any experience to join, just a willingness to get involved and give it a go.

We’re especially looking for people who are interested in things like event planning, logistics, marketing, social media, and bringing in and supporting volunteers.

There are monthly catch-ups to start with, and you can shape how involved you are throughout the year. It does get busier in the lead-up to the event, but that’s also when everything comes together and the energy really builds.

It’s a great way to build skills, meet like-minded people and be part of something bigger than yourself, while making a real impact in your local community. If you’ve been thinking about getting involved in something that matters, this is a great place to start. We’d love to have you on board.
