The St Vincent de Paul Society supports people across South Australia who are experiencing social exclusion, disadvantage, and homelessness. This role is based in our office in Adelaide CBD to provide finance-related administrative assistance to the Finance team and contributes to the efficient management of financial documentation and record-keeping while operating under the guidance and supervision of authorised employees.

Key responsibilities may include the following but not limited to • Enter supplier invoice information into the Attache accounting system for review and approval by authorised Finance employees. Print and organise invoices received through the Accounts email inbox. • Assist with administrative follow-up relating to EFTsure verification requests, under the direction of authorised Finance employees. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and filing systems. • Handle confidential information in accordance with organisational policies, procedures and privacy requirements. Follow established Finance procedures, internal controls and record-keeping requirements. • Seek guidance from the supervising employee when matters fall outside the scope of the role. • Undertake other routine administrative tasks to support the Finance team, as agreed with the supervisor.

Ideal candidate has bookkeeping or accounting experience. Proficiency in Attache and EFTsure is desirable but not pre-requisite. Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, confidentiality, and ethnical practice are essential. We are seeking someone who aligns with our mission, has a heart for community service, and can work both independently and within a team.
