Coasthaven Aged Care in Norlane is seeking friendly volunteers to support our residents through a variety of engaging roles. Whether you enjoy chatting, music, crafts, or the outdoors - there’s a place for you here.
🎄Card Making Volunteer
🗓 When: Tuesday afternoons or Thursday mornings (flexible)
⏱ Commitment: 1-2 hours per week
What you’ll do:
- Support residents with arts & crafts
- Create Christmas cards together
- Encourage participation in a relaxed setting
👨 Men’s Group Companion
🗓 When: Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm (flexible)
⏱ Commitment: 1-2 hours per week
What you’ll do:
- Spend time chatting and building rapport
- Share stories and interests
- Encourage connection and inclusion
🐶 Pet Therapy Volunteer
🗓 When: Monday-Friday, 10am–4pm (flexible)
⏱ Commitment: 1–2 hours per week
What you’ll do:
- Visit residents with your dog
- Provide comfort and companionship
- Encourage gentle interaction
🛍 Kiosk Assistant
🗓 When: Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm (flexible)
⏱ Commitment: 1-2 hours per week
What you’ll do:
- Assist residents with snacks and drinks
- Support simple transactions
- Create a friendly, social environment
🌿 Gardening Companion
🗓 When: Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm (flexible)
⏱ Commitment: 1-2 hours per week
What you’ll do:
- Garden alongside residents
- Assist with watering and planting
- Enjoy conversation outdoors
📚 Library Support
🗓 When: Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm (flexible)
⏱ Commitment: 1-2 hours per week
What you’ll do:
- Organise and label books
- Restock puzzles and activities
- Assist with simple admin tasks
💅 Ladies’ Pamper Support
🗓 When: Fridays, 10am-12pm
What you’ll do:
- Paint nails
- Chat and connect
- Create a relaxing experience
🎹 Performer / Music Volunteer
🗓 When: Flexible (weekdays or weekends)
What you’ll do:
- Perform music or entertain
- Play instruments
- Create a joyful atmosphere
🌍 Language Volunteers who speak Russian, Croatian, Polish or German
🗓 When: Monthly (flexible)
What you’ll do:
- Provide 1:1 conversation
- ️Build connection and comfort
- Support cultural inclusion
