Community Support & Liaison Officer

The Yazidi Australian Association Incorporated is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Community Support & Liaison Officer to support our day-to-day community engagement and organisational activities.

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and organisational skills, a friendly and approachable personality, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact within the community. This volunteer opportunity provides valuable experience in the not-for-profit sector while contributing to meaningful community programs, fundraising initiatives, and stakeholder engagement.

Essential Duties Act as a liaison between the Association and community members, volunteers, and external stakeholders. Provide information and support to community members regarding the Association's programs and services. Assist with coordinating community events, meetings, and fundraising activities. Respond to general enquiries via phone, email, and in person. Maintain accurate records, including data entry and community contact databases. Prepare correspondence, including thank-you emails and community communications. Support day-to-day administrative tasks as required. Promote community participation and encourage volunteer engagement. Skills & Experience Reliable, dependable, and punctual. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Friendly, respectful, and culturally sensitive. Willing to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Basic computer and administrative skills (e.g. Microsoft Office and email). A genuine interest in community development and supporting people from diverse backgrounds.
