The Facilities Support Volunteer plays an important role in supporting the presentation, maintenance and functionality of Assistance Dogs Australia facilities. This hands-on volunteer position assists with a variety of tasks including grounds maintenance, general cleaning, minor repairs, equipment movement, storage organisation and facility improvement projects. The role helps ensure facilities remain safe, clean, organised and fit for purpose, supporting the ongoing care and training of assistance dogs and providing a welcoming environment for volunteers, staff, clients and visitors. Typical activities may include:
- Gardening, grounds care and outdoor maintenance.
- General maintenance and minor repairs.
- Facility cleaning and presentation.
- Storage organisation and equipment movement.
- Event setup and pack down.
- Facility improvement and maintenance projects.
- Reporting maintenance or safety concerns.
This flexible volunteer opportunity is suited to individuals with practical skills, a proactive approach and an interest in supporting the important work of Assistance Dogs Australia. Full induction, role-specific training and ongoing support are provided.
