About EnAccess Maps
EnAccess Maps is a community-led platform that helps people with disability, including vision, hearing, sensory, and mobility access needs, find venues where they can actually participate. We're built on a simple belief: accessibility information is what makes someone feel safe, confident and welcomed in a space.
What you'll do
As a Community Access Mapper, you'll join a huge community of mappers who visit restaurants and cafés and record detailed access information using our web app. This includes things like step-free entry, accessible bathrooms, lighting levels, noise environment and more.
You pick the venues. You go at your own pace. Every venue you map adds to a growing, community-built resource that helps people plan outings with confidence.
Key tasks:
- Visit cafés and restaurants in your local area (your choice!)
- Complete access mapping using the EnAccess Maps web app (training provided)
- Submit your entries through our platform
- Optionally share feedback to help us improve the mapping tool over time
Who we're looking for
We welcome mappers from all backgrounds. You don't need to have a disability or previous experience in accessibility — just curiosity, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to contribute to something useful. People with lived experience of disability are especially warmly invited, and your perspective will directly shape how we collect and describe access information.
