**Role Description ** We are seeking an experienced Human Resources (People & Culture) Volunteer to help strengthen our growing organisation by supporting the full employee and volunteer lifecycle.
Working closely with the leadership team, you will help build and maintain best-practice HR systems, ensuring staff and volunteers have a positive experience from recruitment through to onboarding, development and offboarding.

This volunteer position offers flexibility, with a combination of remote work and occasional meetings in Perth, Western Australia. This flexible volunteer role is primarily on an as-needed basis, making it well suited to an experienced HR professional who is looking to contribute their expertise without a regular weekly commitment.
**Key Responsibilities **
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including advertising, screening and interview scheduling.
- Prepare employment and volunteer contracts and onboarding documentation.
- Support the onboarding and induction of new staff and volunteers.
- Maintain confidential personnel records and HR documentation.
- Assist with performance management processes, probation reviews and employee relations.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures remain current and compliant with Australian employment legislation.
- Provide HR guidance and support to managers and team members.
- Coordinate learning and professional development opportunities. Support staff wellbeing and engagement initiatives.
- Assist with volunteer and employee offboarding processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR systems, processes and compliance.
**Qualifications **
- Experience in Human Resources, People & Culture, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector is desirable but not essential.
- Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related discipline are highly regarded.
