**Role Description ** We are seeking an enthusiastic Fundraising & Events Coordinator (Volunteer) to help grow Mama Respond's impact by supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of fundraising initiatives and community events.
Working closely with the leadership team and a dedicated team of volunteers, you will help develop engaging fundraising opportunities, build strong relationships with supporters, sponsors and community partners, and coordinate events that raise both funds and awareness for our mission.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in fundraising, events, stakeholder engagement or business development who is looking to use their skills to make a genuine difference in the community while helping shape the future of a growing not-for-profit organisation.
This volunteer position is based in our Burswood office (Perth, Western Australia) for one day per week, with flexibility around working hours and additional involvement around key fundraising events as required.
**Key Responsibilities **
- Work collaboratively with a team of volunteers to plan, coordinate and deliver fundraising events and campaigns.
- Research, identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities, sponsorships and community partnerships.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with sponsors, donors, businesses and community stakeholders.
- Follow up fundraising leads and coordinate communications with prospective supporters and partners.
- Assist in developing and implementing fundraising strategies and annual event plans.
- Coordinate event logistics, including venues, suppliers, volunteers, registrations and event schedules.
- Prepare sponsorship proposals, fundraising materials and stakeholder communications.
- Work closely with the marketing team to promote fundraising campaigns and events across multiple channels.
- Monitor fundraising activities and assist with reporting on fundraising outcomes and event success.
- Maintain accurate records of sponsorships, donations, stakeholder interactions and fundraising activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve fundraising processes, supporter engagement and event delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience in fundraising, event management, stakeholder engagement, business development, marketing or a related field.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Confidence engaging with businesses, sponsors, donors and community partners.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a volunteer team while also working independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence learning new systems.
- Relevant qualifications in Event Management, Marketing, Business, Communications or a related discipline are highly regarded.
