
General Members will support community events, fundraising initiatives and local projects. You will attend meetings to share ideas, help plan activities and contribute to decisions that shape the club’s direction.

Membership of the Lions Club is required (annual membership fee applies; a first-year subsidy may be discussed for suitable applicants).

Here are the sort of things that Lions do.Environmental : - Containers for change, Recycling used spectacles to 3rd world countries, Local clean ups with organisations like Creppa, Keep Australia Beautiful, Clean Up Australia, Estuary Guardians and Coastal Waste Warriors, Lions new proposed project to plant a million trees in Australia. Health: - Children’s Cancer Research, Diabetes Education, Save Sight and Eye Health, Hearing testing, Alzheimer’s, Skin Cancer Screening, Prostrate Cancer, Cancer in general, Children’s Mobility (disabled kids), Wellbeing Foundation Cord Blood Foundation. Various Disasters: - Various fire and flood relief in Australia, Various International disasters, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, typhoons, cyclones, floods and fires, Need For Feed, Youth Support: - LEO Clubs, Youth Of the Year, Children of Courage, Junior Public Speaking Competition, Peace Poster, Caring Kids, Hunger: - From July 2023 to January 2024, LCIF has awarded 42 hunger-related grants totaling US$2,504,729, Battling hunger is a huge undertaking. It will require the effort of everyone, everywhere—and all Lions, Many of the Clubs in our Districts are already looking out for people in our community in many ways. We have many Clubs helping to feed kids in schools at breakfast and we also have our Lions volunteering at food caravans in many areas. Partnerships with Foodbank, Oz Harvest and Second Bite.
