This is a flexible, volunteer opportunity with the chance to be part of a dedicated, supportive, and fun team. You will work remotely, with the need to be available to attend events in person as required. About the Role As a Volunteer Event Planner, you will help support the coordination and delivery of fundraising and community events that directly contribute to opportunities for rural and regional youth. You will work collaboratively with the team to assist in planning engaging events, securing sponsorship support, and helping create memorable experiences for attendees and supporters.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend training and weekly team meetings
- Coordinate with local makers, stallholders, businesses, vendors, community groups, associations, and on-site staff to keep events running smoothly
- Help manage event calendars and deadlines
- Support the identification of grant and sponsorship opportunities
- Assist with the preparation of supporting documentation for applications as required
- Maintain vendor licences and compliance documentation in accordance with relevant rules and regulations
- Respond to event-related enquiries
- Work with internal teams on promotions, registrations, and communications
- Maintain accurate records to support team visibility and coordination
