Business With A Heart

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, identify, and evaluate grant opportunities across NSW, WA, and other key regions

  • Collaborate with the CEO and team to align partnerships and funding strategies with organisational goals

  • Write, prepare, and submit compelling grant applications, managing the process end-to-end

  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with corporate, community, and other charitable organisations

  • Proactively engage with potential partners to secure sponsorships, funding, and collaboration opportunities

  • Share the charity’s story and impact with the wider community through conversations and presentations

  • Support the development and maintain strong and positive professional relationships with team members, volunteers, beneficiaries, and all stakeholders

  • Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness, donor engagement, and sponsor visibility

  • Assist in planning and delivering initiatives that increase awareness and engagement with our mission

  • Assist and support the planning, promotion, and execution of charity events, programmes, and other activities

  • Liaise with community partners, sponsors, and volunteers to build meaningful relationships

  • Be responsible for efficiency and implement new initiatives to enhance charity

  • Lead by example and take pride in your personal presentation; ensuring your demeanour, body language and tone of voice embody the high standard of performance expected of the Team.

  • Collect and share impact stories from beneficiaries and supporters

  • Assist team with other admin office duties that may include diary organisation, organisation of files

  • Provide feedback, contribute ideas and provide support to management to enhance team and charity effectiveness

  • Work closely with Business With A Heart Ltd Managers to deliver a seamless operation

  • Assist at events organised by or for the charity

Your Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in grant writing, fundraising, or partnerships/business development (non-profit experience highly regarded)

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proven ability to research, identify and secure funding opportunities, including government and corporate

  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft compelling proposals and storytelling narratives

  • An excellent knowledge of workplace health and safety

  • A genuine passion and enthusiasm for community engagement, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals of all ages

  • Working with a diverse range of cultures and ethnicities

  • Demonstrated experience in a not-for-profit or charity environment

  • Strong Performance Management skills and employee engagement strategies

  • Reliable, organised, and able to work autonomously

  • Proactive and takes initiative in tasks

  • Worked in a professional, fast paced environment

  • Demonstrated experience in motivating and inspiring teams to deliver unprecedented levels of safety and service

  • Confident in representing the charity in public and/or professional settings
