We are seeking reliable volunteers who can assist with practical kennel, yard and property support.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to help keep the shelter safe, clean, organised and comfortable for the dogs, staff and volunteers.
This role may include:
- Replenishing fresh water in yards and hydration stations
- Emptying and replacing toy bins, poo buckets and poo water buckets
- Filling rabbit holes around the property
- General gardening and yard upkeep
- Mowing, leaf blowing, whipper snipping and debris collection
- Helping clear fallen branches or trees when required
- Assisting with general maintenance tasks requested by staff
- Making hessian beds and helping prepare kennel equipment
- Leaf blowing around key yard areas
- Assisting with morning kennel cleaning while dogs are out for their first toilet break
- Morning kennel support is particularly valuable between approximately 6am and 9/10am, when the dogs’ kennels are being cleaned and reset for the day.

- Ages between 18 and 70 as per our insurance requirements
