Help Young People Connect, Belong and Thrive

Every young person deserves to feel connected, supported and valued. Through Youth Connection Circles, FMAES provides a safe and welcoming space where multicultural young people aged 12–25 can build friendships, develop confidence, celebrate culture and strengthen their wellbeing. We're looking for enthusiastic and compassionate volunteers to help create positive experiences that empower young people to thrive.

About the Role

As a Volunteer Youth Mentor & Program Facilitator, you will work alongside our friendly team to:

  • Welcome and engage young people
  • Support group activities, discussions and workshops
  • Encourage participation and build confidence
  • Foster an inclusive and culturally safe environment
  • Assist with cultural activities, games and life skills sessions
  • Help prepare refreshments and assist with set-up and pack-down

No previous experience is required—we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.

This opportunity is ideal for students and graduates in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Youth Work, Community Services, Counselling, Occupational Therapy, Nursing and related fields, as well as anyone passionate about giving back to the community.
