Kintsugi Heroes is a volunteer-led Australian charity dedicated to strengthening communities through the power of lived-experience storytelling. Our mission is simple: helping people tell the stories they need to share so others can discover the stories they need to hear.
Through podcasts, books, community events and conversations, we share real-life stories of courage, resilience and hope. Many of the people who listen to these stories are experiencing difficult life challenges such as grief, addiction, abuse, loneliness, mental health struggles or disability. Hearing someone else’s story can help them feel less alone and inspire them to keep going.
We are seeking a Social Media Coordinator to help grow the reach of these stories and strengthen our online community.
Goal: Transform long-form empathy into short-form engagement.
● The Mission: You will be the digital voice of Kintsugi Heroes, responsible for ensuring our stories of resilience reach those who need them most. You will manage our presence across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn to reduce stigma and foster connection.
● Key Responsibilities: ○ Manage and schedule a multi-platform content calendar. ○ Draft "hook-first" captions that translate complex lived experiences into relatable social content. ○ Engage with our growing community to foster "social intimacy" and connection. ○ Monitor platform-specific engagement rates to refine our posting strategy.
● What You Bring: A passion for mental health advocacy and a strategic understanding of how different platforms (e.g., LinkedIn for professional outreach vs. TikTok for younger audiences) require unique voices.
