As a Stray Care Volunteer, you will help provide transportation support to cat caregivers and cats in need, gaining valuable skills and community service experience. RSPCA NSW will ensure that you receive appropriate training and will provide ongoing support.

What you'll be doing

*Safely transporting cats between client homes and veterinary clinics

*Delivering completed participant paperwork to vet clinics

*Following WHS guidelines and RSPCA NSW policies

*Representing RSPCA NSW in the community in a friendly and professional manner

This role is ideal for those who understand that community outreach plays a profound and essential part in advancing animal welfare.

Impact This targeted desexing project aims to address cat overpopulation and reduce numbers of stray and semi-owned cats by working together with councils, veterinary practices, rescue groups, cat caregivers and volunteers by providing free desexing to 30 LGA’s within New South Wales. Volunteers will help us increase the number of cats we can get to our clinics for desexing and health checks.
