About the opportunity

Primary Purpose of the Position

Agnes Water and the Discovery Coast are vulnerable to disasters that can disrupt access to food, healthcare and essential services, highlighting the need for greater community preparedness and resilience. The Emergency Preparedness Hamper initiative is a youth-led, community-driven project that aims to strengthen disaster readiness and food security through a sustainable local model.

The Marketing, Communications & Brand Lead will support the development and launch of the initiative by co-designing a marketing and communications strategy, brand identity, and promotional resources that build community awareness, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and support the successful launch of this innovative resilience initiative.

In this role you will:

  • Support co-design of marketing, communications and branding kit for the launch of the project.
  • Support young people and partners to design and delivery of:

Media kit

Marketing assets

Branding and style guide]

Selection Criteria:

Essential

  • Experience in marketing and/or communications
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to support youth-led initiatives and co-design processes
  • Experience in community development, resilience or disaster preparedness

Desirable

Experience in community development, resilience or disaster preparedness

Role information:

  • Start August 2026
  • Approximately 4 months part time
  • Online/Remote with site visit
  • QLD

  • 5 years professional experience in the relevant field
  • Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident residing in Australia.
  • Willingness to complete a National Police Check
  • Willingness to complete a Working with Children Check
