Ageing with Grace is looking for a caring Italian-speaking volunteer to spend time with a warm and welcoming older Italian lady living in Dandenong North.

Having moved to Australia in the 1960s, she has lived a remarkable life and loves reminiscing about her childhood in Italy, her family's migration journey, and the traditions that continue to shape who she is today. She misses having someone to speak Italian with and would love a regular visitor who enjoys good conversation and genuine companionship.

Together, you might enjoy:

• 🛍️ Enjoying an occasional shopping outing
• 😊 Building a friendship that brightens both of your weeks

While she is surrounded by a loving family, regular visits from a volunteer offer something unique—a friendship built on shared stories, culture, and connection.

We're looking for someone who:

• Speaks conversational Italian
• Enjoys meeting new people and listening to life stories
• Can visit for around an hour, preferably each week (fortnightly at a minimum)
• Is reliable, compassionate, and happy to make a genuine difference

You don't need previous volunteering or aged care experience. We'll provide full training, ongoing support, and everything you need to feel confident in your role.

Many of our volunteers tell us they receive just as much as they give. If you enjoy meaningful conversations, appreciate Italian culture, and have an hour to spare, we'd love to welcome you to our team.

Location: Dandenong North
Commitment: Around one hour per visit, minimum fortnightly (weekly preferred)
Language: Italian speaking essential
