Advertised by The Centre for VolunteeringThe Victims and Witnesses of Crime Court Support (VWCCS) non-profit organisation is seeking volunteers for our reception desk at the Downing Centre Courts in Sydney. This is an unpaid role and we are looking for volunteers to man the reception desk from 8.30 to 11am Monday to Friday. The position requires onsite and in person volunteers.
Primary function of the desk is to provide information and guidance to court attendees. There may be some administrative tasks as well. Those who volunteer can choose to work as many days as suitable to them - we have a rostering system and will roster you on per your availability. So you can choose to volunteer only 1 day per week.
To volunteer with us, you will need a valid Working with Children's check. We do request that only those who are able to make a long term volunteer commitment working with us should apply for this role.
Impact of this role We are a non-profit organisation providing support to victims and witnesses of criminal cases. Our reception desk is an additional service we provide for the courts to guide all attendees to where they may need to go at the Downing Centre.
