Media and Communications Volunteer

The Media and Communications Volunteer will be part of the Community Engagement Team that will work within ARC communications committee to promote the values, mission and activities of the ARC. They will be driving the organisation’s engagement with members and potential members, and effectively communicating ARC's policy and advocacy priorities to the broader community. This role is appointed by the ARC Board. The role will report to the CEO and execute the media and communications strategy.

• Develop strategy to complement our communication style and content. • Work with internal personnel and external stakeholders to capture and communicate a range of powerful messages and stories that support policy, advocacy and campaign priorities. • Implement a 12-month calendar of media communications, including story writing for social media and eDMs • Assist in the research of new and innovative ways to deliver communications. • Manage content for ARC website and consider options to improve their look and feel • Manage content for social media platforms and contribute to a growth in online users of ARC digital communications in line with organisations endorsed strategies. • Prepare quarterly updates and/or reports for the CEO including details on performance against agreed measures. These reports will be shared with the ARC Board.
