Ability Program – Ability Support Volunteer – Exercise Classes

About the Program Walkie Talkies and Aqua Movement are exercise classes for adults living with a disability.  Both groups meet weekly on Wednesdays during school term.    Key Tasks

  • Walk and talk with program participants
  • Encourage participants to socialise whilst exercising
  • Assist participants when required
  • Support the Ability Coordinator to facilitate the program
  • NO personal assistance required

  Skills/Knowledge/Personal Qualities

  • Great customer service
  • Knowledge and/or experience of disability - desirable
  • Empathy and respect for others, sense of humour and a team player
  • Friendly, accepting and inclusive

  Time Commitment Wednesdays weekly (during school terms) – 12.30-4.30pm   Special Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Check
  • NDIS Online Training
  • Stay Infection Free Training
