Volunteer Bayside Toy Library Assistant
All volunteers will be supporting experienced staff to run the borrowing session. We are a fun team who offer lots of support and laughs, while giving you a chance to help kids learn through play while building valuable retail experience in a community environment.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Checking in returned toys on our (simple) database using a barcode scanner
- Ensuring toys are returned clean
- Counting toys for missing pieces
- Re-shelving toys
- Assisting children and parents to select new toys to borrow
- Packaging and labeling new toys
We are looking for people to come on a regular basis, be it once a week or once a fortnight, for a minimum period of 3 months. Volunteer work can be completed at any of our open sessions at the following times:
· Wednesdays 7.00pm-9.00pm · Thursdays 11.30am-2.30pm · Fridays 9.30am-12.30pm · Saturdays 9.30am-12.30pm
No experience required, just enthusiasm to learn and give everything a go.
