Longbeach Learning and Activity Centre (LLAC) is a busy, friendly neighbourhood house based in Chelsea. We’re looking for General Volunteers to help us deliver a welcoming and inclusive community space for all.
As a General Volunteer, you will:
- Greet visitors and provide a friendly first impression
- Answer phones and assist with enquiries and bookings
- Support staff and facilitators with setup and pack-down for programs and events
- Help with basic admin tasks like photocopying and data entry
- Maintain a tidy, safe, and welcoming centre environment
- Prepare and serve refreshments for groups and events
- Assist with marketing, social media, and promoting LLAC activities if you’re interested
- Attend induction and training as required
- Follow LLAC’s policies and safety procedures
We value your strengths and interests. At LLAC, we’re also happy to tailor your volunteer role to suit your skills, experience, and interests. If you have a passion or hobby you’d like to share, such as digital skills, photography, social media, board games, sustainability, upcycling, mindfulness, fitness, language exchange, or anything else you’re passionate about—you’re welcome to pitch your own group, club, or workshop. LLAC is neurodivergent and LGBTIQA+ friendly, and we welcome new ideas that reflect our diverse community.
