Volunteer Committee Treasurer for Eczema Association Australasia (EAA)

This is a volunteer, remote role to join the Committee for Eczema Association Australasia (EAA). You will be well supported, with existing Committee members possessing professional financial experience and staff willing to support your transition into the role. A Committee Treasurer provides governance that ensures financial transparency, accountability, and compliance.

Attendance and active participation in monthly Committee meetings is expected. Optional opportunities for interstate Expo attendance are available for committee members, with associated costs covered. Committee meetings are scheduled at a time all members are available (currently Monday evenings).

 

About EAA

EAA is a National not-for-profit tasked with supporting, providing education and resources for eczema sufferers, carers and the wider community.

 

As Treasurer, your responsibilities include:

  • During committee meetings, lead quarterly and annual reviews of budgets (e.g highlighting potential financial concerns on cash flow reports).

  • Present relevant financial reports (prepared by the company) to the Committee at monthly meetings, provide opinion on proposed projects, contracts, and strategic decisions.

  • Advocate for compliance with all financial, taxation, audit, insurance, and statutory obligations in collaboration with the bookkeeper and Secretary.

Prior experience in book keeping, accounting, governance and/or lived experience of eczema will be advantageous, but is NOT required.
