Chapter Lead
Advertised by Cockburn Volunteer CentreWNOW are expanding into Cockburn and looking for volunteers to help deliver a weekly local Sunrise Club at Coogee, bringing men together for exercise, connection, conversation and coffee.
WNOW Chapter Leads are volunteers who run their local Sunrise Club, a free weekly gathering at sunrise on the beach. Chapters are typically run by 3-5 co-leads sharing the Exercise Leader, Exercise Break Out Leader and Connection Leader roles. Chapter Leads set the tone: welcoming, non-judgemental, focused on connection over fitness. No fitness or mental health background required, just consistency and presence
Key Tasks:
- Co-Lead the Weekly Sunrise Club (exercise, 60 Circle, Circle of Trust, coffee)
- Welcome and introduce newcomers
- Encourage open, non-judgemental sharing
- Watch for participant wellbeing and safety, including water safety
- Roster with co-leads to cover holidays/illness
- Liaise with WNOW central team on Chapter Health and help to promote the chapter locally
- Uphold WNOW's values and Principles of Engagement
