Volunteer Roles – Australian DrillDance Championships (ADDC26)
Join the team behind Australia's premier DrillDance event and help create an unforgettable experience for competitors and spectators from across the country. With a variety of roles available, there's something to suit all interests and experience levels. No previous DrillDance experience is required.
Volunteer roles may include:
- Grandstand Ushers – Welcome spectators, assist with seating, direct guests to amenities, and help maintain clear accessways throughout the venue.
- Team Marshals (Left & Right Arena Entry) – Coordinate the movement of teams to and from the performance area, ensuring events run on schedule.
- Backstage Assistants – Manage the backstage curtain area, assist teams entering and exiting the arena, and help maintain a calm and organised environment.
- Presentation Ceremony Assistants – Set up trophies, awards, and presentation areas; assist VIPs and presenters; and help coordinate medal presentations.
- Judges' Runners – Collect completed judging sheets and deliver them promptly and securely to the Recorders' Room after each performance.
- Merchandise Assistants – Help with merchandise collection and sales, answer customer enquiries, process purchases and maintain stock displays.
- Raffle Ticket Sellers – Promote raffle prizes, sell tickets throughout the venue, handle cash or electronic payments where required, and encourage spectator participation.
- Venue Setup & Pack-down Crew – Assist with signage, dressing room allocations, barriers, banners, furniture, equipment, and venue preparation before the event and pack-down afterwards.
- Dressing Room Assistants – Place club signage on dressing rooms, help teams locate their allocated rooms, and provide general assistance throughout the day.
- Information & Customer Service – Welcome visitors, answer questions, provide directions and help create a friendly, professional experience for everyone attending.
Skills we're looking for:

- Comfortable working in a busy event environment
- Problem-solving skills and initiative
- Basic fitness for roles involving walking or standing (some seated roles are also available)
