Podcasters required by HOPE Inc. (Australia)

Imagining 2040 – pathways to flourishing futures (IMAG40) is an experimental podcast created by Householders’ Options to Protect the Environment (HOPE) Inc. The series is a response to an identified future vision imagination deficit. A challenge in Australia and beyond, where many people struggle to picture what better, community level futures could look like, or how we might work together to achieve them.

Without shared, compelling visions of better futures, public debate becomes dominated by short-term neoliberal thinking, vested interests, and business-as-usual development paths that are increasingly failing people and the planet.

1. Researchers & Co‑Producers Tasks may include:

• Identifying potential episode themes
• Suggesting and contacting suitable guests
• Supporting informal pre‑recording conversations
• Assisting with episode planning and recording

2. Co‑Presenters There would be particular value in:

• A female co‑presenter, and/or

• Someone from a younger generation than that of the existing host.

  This addition could help broaden the demographic appeal of the series and provide a more diverse voice from within it.

3. Social Media & Promotion Lead A volunteer focused on:

• Preparing and distributing episode teasers and announcements
• Ensuring timely posting across social media platforms
• Exploring all and any networks and opportunities to expand the audience reach

4. General Administrative Support A flexible role assisting with:

• Delegated tasks from other team members
• Scheduling, coordination, and general organizational support
