Festitalia 2026 - Brisbane Italian Festival

Festitalia is back — and we’re gearing up for another unforgettable celebration of Italian culture, food, music, and community. We would love to have you with us again!

Festitalia will be held at the Brisbane Showgrounds, 10:30 am to 6:00 pm, under the patronage of the Italian Consulate in Brisbane. Festitalia is Queensland’s only official Italian Festival.

We’re seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help bring the festival to life on Sunday, 20 September 2026, at the Brisbane Showgrounds. Your contribution in past years has made a real difference, and we hope you’ll join us once more.

Volunteer Opportunities: Whether you enjoy being hands‑on or front‑of‑house, there’s a role for everyone, including:

• Event set‑up (Saturday 19 September, time to be advised)
• Event pack‑down (after the festival)
• Visitor direction and general “go‑for” support
• Assistance with competitions and activities
• Entry Point - Greeters
• Assistance with our Regional Italian stalls
• Stage Management assistance
• Artist Relations
• VIP assistance and Guest Services
• All shifts will be no longer than 3 hours in length.

We’ll do our best to match your skills and interests to available roles. Italian speakers and learners may be placed in positions where language skills are especially helpful.

When

• Saturday, 19 September 2026 – Event set‑up (time to be advised)
• Sunday, 20 September 2026 – Festival day, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm

Where: Brisbane Showgrounds 600 Gregory Terrace, Bowen Hills QLD 4006 (Same location as last year.)

If you volunteered in 2025 or past years, please register again for 2026 so we can confirm your details and availability.

Festitalia is a vibrant, fast‑paced event, and you may be asked to assist with a variety of tasks throughout the day by the Festival Coordinator or Volunteer Coordinator. Your flexibility and enthusiasm help make the festival a success.
