Volunteer Food Rescue Drivers

FoodFilled is seeking passionate volunteers to help with food deliveries!
Flexible commitment, just once a fortnight and it takes no longer than 1 hour! Pickups located in Melbourne’s South East, CBD and North.
A volunteer shift involves picking up leftover/excess food from various retailers such as supermarkets or bakeries and then delivering it to a local charity, saving valuable resources from ending up in landfill and providing immediate relief for those experiencing food insecurity.
There are lots of times to choose from; can be before/after work, weekdays or weekends. You can complete pickups with friends or family. It is a quick and easy process and makes such a huge difference in people's lives.
All volunteering information is communicated prior to the shift via scheduling platform Deputy. We also have a dedicated support team available to assist our volunteers at any time.
Volunteers are required to hold a valid drivers licence and be fully vaccinated. WWCC or Police checks are also required but can be arranged free of charge if the volunteer's existing check is not current.
At FoodFilled, we value our volunteers. To show our appreciation, we provide recognition and rewards for volunteer of the month as well as Volunteer Orientation Sessions where volunteers can meet one another and create community. We host regular social events for our volunteers to create a dynamic and strong community.
