Make a Difference at One of Sydney's Most Iconic Cycling Events

Join us as a volunteer for Spring Cycle 2026, one of Sydney's most loved community cycling events.

Spring Cycle brings together thousands of riders of all ages and abilities to experience Sydney's most iconic cycling routes while raising vital funds for Lifeline's crisis support and suicide prevention services. The event could not happen without the energy, enthusiasm and support of our incredible volunteer team.

Whether you enjoy meeting people, helping behind the scenes, cheering on participants or being part of a major community event, we have a volunteer role for you.

Volunteer Roles Available

Course Marshals Help guide riders safely along the route by providing directions and encouragement at designated course locations.

Start and Finish Venue Volunteers Based in North Sydney, Pyrmont, or Parramatta volunteers assist with:

  • Rider registration and event pack collection
  • Bike parking support
  • Marshalling
  • General participant support

Venue Setup (Bump In) Help prepare event sites in North Sydney, Pyrmont, or Parramatta before or after the ride by:

  • Setting up or packing down marquees
  • Installing or removing signage
  • Preparing rider facilities
  • Assisting with event infrastructure

Mobile Support Volunteers Experienced cyclists can support riders along the course as:

  • Course sweep riders
  • Mobile support riders
  • Bicycle mechanics (where relevant experience applies)

Group Volunteering Group Volunteering opportunities are available for your community, corporate or friendship group. Look after one whole area together. If volunteering as a group is of interest to you, please get in touch the email contact details will be provided in the return email you will receive when submitting interest in this role online. Please be sure to look out for this email.

What We Are Looking For We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds. You do not need prior experience, just:

  • A positive attitude
  • Reliability and enthusiasm
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Training and briefing will be provided before the event.
